Versatile Blogger Award

I'm absolutely delighted to have been picked by  JoAnna (Helen) for nominating me for the Versatile Blogger award. The rules for accepting the award are to:

1. Personally thank the person who nominated you for the award and link back to them in your post.
2. Share seven things about yourself.
3. Pass the award along to 15 recently discovered blogs.

As I've recently shared ten things about myself for the write campaign, which were mostly around the theme of my childhood. I thought I'd make this more current.

1. I'm in the throes of planning a new romantic suspense novel...
2. ...for which I've just bought myself a wonderful new notebook.
3. My honours degree is in Marketing; Masters in Urban Policy.
4. I work from home, which allows me time to write.
5. First drafts are written using my Neo AlphaSmart.
6. My first academic interest was the solar system when I was seven years old...
7. ...which led to a lifelong passion for science fiction (and possibly Doctor Who!)

I now have to nominate other recently discovered blogs for this award. Here are some of the wonderful people I've met, some in both blogland and on twitter.

1. Elliot Grace
2. Samantha Verant
3.1000thMonkey
4.Madelinemora-summonte
5.CreepyQueryGirl
6.Lisa Potts
7. Brynne
8.Lola Sharp
9.Paula S Jordan
10.Pamela Mason
11.AliBacon
12.Alison O'Neill Hess
13.Jamie Harrington
14.Bridget Straub
15.D J Kirkby

Hi Allie
Thanks so much for the award. In fact I already received it via JoAnna but have held off putting out any more facts about me for a bit!(Can one be doubly versatile?)
Finding 15 more may be tricky - unless I get out there on teh #writecampaign. 'Fraid I have been slacking in that department.
Thanks again

Thanks, Allie! I've been given this award a couple of times already - who knew I was so versatile?! :) - but I do appreciate you thinking of me.

And good luck on the new novel!

Ali. I think perhaps it could count as one - when you get around to it. I must admit I found it difficult to think up something different as opposed to my ten random facts. :)

Thank you Brynne. I'm planning at the moment, writing, hopefully soon.

Heh. Madeline. You're too versatile to keep being picked for this one. Thanks for stopping by to let me know. :)

Congratulations, Allie! :)

...working from home would be such bliss, (except that I'd find myself in a constant struggle between the day job, and "The Dream Job")

Very sweet of you to think of me, Allie :)

Thanks so much!

Allie, thanks for the nomination! Very cool :)

Thanks everyone!

@Elliot. Working from home I'm constantly struggling between doing day job first, (which never happens), and writing. More often than not the housework comes before either!

Thanks Allie,
I really appreciate the nod. Reading your comment that reminds me, I have to do the floors, yikes!

Bridget, thanks for not staying anon! Great to see you. I have you also on Twitter now. :)

Carole. Sometimes, working from home can be a double-edged sword.

Thank you so much, Pamela for accepting the award. :)

Thanks for following my blog, Allie! I have wondered about a Neo Alphasmart. Do you recommend it for purchase, or what are your thoughts overall on this product?

Anonymous said...

Hi Susan. I like the Alphasmart for several reasons, but mostly because it's portable, and you can avoid the computer with all its distractions when you need to just write. I'd recommend it.

Romantic suspence, I am intrigued by that. How exciting!
Congrats on the award and to the awardees.
