October is one such month with so many different projects I want to get my teeth into. And because I don't want to miss any deadlines, I've given myself a task list to keep up with these writing projects.
The first of these is to write the romantic suspense novel of around 50,000 words, so this morning, I've worked up a storyline, and I'm going to develop characters and plot throughout the rest of the day. Unfortunately, I don't have all week to work on this non-stop, as the day job and other commitments are going to interfere - therefore, no set word goals - just writing when I can sit at my desk.
Deadlines/projects for October in order of date due:
- Draft romance novel.
- 28th October - Sweet and soothing short story <2000 words
- 29th October - Short story <1000 words
- Travel writing feature
It's enough to keep me busy for a bit!

Wow, I'd say that's more than enough to keep you busy. Good luck!
Lots more than enough to keep me busy! Thanks for commenting. :)
Sounds like a good plan:) Although, I suggest writing much more than 50,000. I wrote a manuscript that length and most agents I spoke to said that they wouldn't consider any manuscript for any genre at less than 65,000. Of course there may always be exceptions.
Oh. That's good advice, Mark. It is quite a short length, but I tend to write the story shorthand, so there will always be room for more after it's finished. Definitely food for thought.
Thank you. :)
